Free Scotland Party

Free Scotland Party (Gaelic: Freiceadan Saor Alba) stands for the independence of Scotland, outside both the United Kingdom and the European Union [1]. According to its website, it is seated at Hamnavoe, Burra, Shetland [1]. Its flag/logo is derived from the flag of Scotland by reversing its colours and adding the inscription "Free Scotland" in black over the top and bottom quarters. It is not quite clear whether it is a real or possible flag, but its regular appearing together with the flag of Scotland at the party website suggests that it is meant to be a flag, although it is also regularly used in the party's promoting material [2] in a logo-like manner.

Hamnavoe - or Shetland in general - does seem peculiar [for the party headquarters], but it might be just a section of the party which was active enough to make a site, not necessarily the headquarters (to which I seem to have promoted them). Anyway, according to Wikipedia and its source, by-elections.co.uk/GE2005/others_list.html, they had three candidates in the 2005 General Election in different parts of Scotland, and the promoting materials for 2007 elections also show that there were at least four candidates. Both sources reveal that the party might actually be the most active in former county Perthshire.
